elizabet –
My first overlock. I thought about it for a long time and finally decided to get this one. No regrets. For its price it is perfect.
On the suction cups – does not fidget and does not bounce on the table. Adjusts easily, refuelling too (generally the most scary thing for beginners). For threading there is a colour scheme, and for adjustment in the instructions table with recommendations about the needle position, thread tension, differential and seam width. I’ve seen people complain a lot about the instructions, apparently they’ve updated them (though not completely, there are more pages in the table of contents than there actually are).
I haven’t tried two-strand stitches yet, but I’ve used three- and four-strand almost all of them. I’ve sewn in a variety of fabrics (waffle cloth, staple, delicate muslin, various knits), but haven’t gotten to very light and dense fabrics yet.
